Pocket PC Phones with Built-in GPS: ETEN X500 Minimize
ETEN_X500_SMALL.jpgETEN announced the launch of a new Pocket PC Phone with built-in GPS, the glofiish X500. The company is promoting the device as the "world's thinnest Pocket PC Phone" . Indeed, if you compare the ETEN X500 with the other Pocket PC Phones in the market (current and upcoming models), it is the thinnest Pocket PC Phone. In particular the ETEN X500 is 15.5mm (H) and the HTC P3600 is 18.4mm, the HTC P3300 is 16.8mm and the HTC TyTN is 21.9 mm. Of course there are thinner devices running windows mobile (Smartphones, not Pocket PC Phones) like the Samsung SGH-i320 which is only 11.5mm. The design of the phone is excellent and the specifications are really good. First of all the device will have a Samsung SC3 2442 processor at 400MHz. This is much better than the TI’s OMAP™ 850 201 MHz of HTC P3300, a similar device with built-in GPS. Read More about ETEN X500...

Pocket PC Phone Reviews: O2 XDA Stealth Minimize

The O2 XDA Stealth: Review

O2_XDA_STEALTHSMALL.jpgThe O2 XDA Stealth offers another option for those who want a Windows Mobile / pocket pc phone. So far Windows Mobile phones had either a sliding QWERTY keyboard (HTC TyTN, i-mate k-JAM, i-mate JasJar etc), or a QWERTY keyboard on the front (HP IPAQ hw6515, hw6915, Motorola Moto Q, UBIQUIO 501 etc), or no physical keyboard at all (i-mate JAM,i-mate JAMin, O2 Atom etc). The O2 XDA Stealth was made for those who like the “traditional” phone design with the sliding number keypad but powered with Windows Mobile 5.0. The device does not offer any special connectivity options like 3G or built in GPS but it does have built-in Wi-FI and Bluetooth.Read the O2 XDA Stealth Review...

ASUS P525 Review

asus_p525_front_backSMALL.jpgThe ASUS P525 is one of the pocket pc phones running Windows Mobile 5.0 that does not have a QWERTY keyboard on the front but a number keypad. This is a design you expect to find to non-windows mobile phones. A similar windows mobile pocket pc with a number pad is the O2 XDA Stealth. As we spotted on the O2 XDA Stealth review the absence of a QWERTY keyboard makes excessive data entry difficult but this can be overcome with the use of the stylus and the virtual on screen QWERTY keyboard. The ASUS P525 also has a joystick (between the number pad), which makes it easier for navigation and menu selection. Read the full ASUS P525 Review...

HTC Cavalier

The HTC Cavalier is suppose to be the new version of HTC S620 (Excalibur), a thin smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard on the front.
