Pocket PC Phone: O2 XDA Apollo

O2 has recently got FCC approval for a new pocket pc phone device, the O2 XDA Apollo. The new O2 XDA Apollon is the new version of the popular and succesful O2 XDA Atom and HP iPAQ rw6815. The major difference of the O2 XDA Apollo and O2 XDA Atom is that the new device will have support for 3G. As can be seen from the device images and the O2 XDA Apollo specifications the device looks the same as the Atom. The 2.7 inch screen will support 240 x 320 resolution and there is a 2 mega pixels camera on the back. The network connectivity options, besides support for 3G, the O2 XDA Apollo is Tri-band and also supports GPRS Class 10. In terms of size both devices are 58 (W) x 102 (L) x 18.5 (T) mm and the weight is 150g. The battery life time is 5.5 hours talk time and up to 150 hours standy. The O2 XDA Apollo also has built-in WI-FI and bluetooth as well as an FM Radio.

The O2 XDA Atom is a very popular model and it is nice that O2 has kept the design and major features of O2 Atom and upgraded the device with support for 3G.
