Pocket PC Phone: New Device by O2, O2 XDA Zinc Minimize
O2_XDA_ZINC_FRONT_SMALL.jpgA new Windows Mobile manufactured by ASUSTek will be made available by O2 as the O2 XDA Zinc. The design of this pocket pc is similar to HTC TyTN. It has a sliding QWERTY keyboard and 3G capabilities(WCDMA2100). The O2 XDA Zinc will be lighter (165g ) than the HTC TyTN (176g). Its size will be 3mm shorter in length than the TyTN with Width and Depth almost the same (Zinc Dimensions: 109 x 58 x 22.6 mm ). The O2 XDA Zinc will have an Intel PXA 270 processor at 520 MHZ (the TyTN runs Samsung SC3244A at 400 MHZ), 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM. For connectivity it will be GSM Tri-Band and will have built-in Wi-FI, bluetooth and Infrared. For memory expansion the O2 XDA Zinc will have a Mini SD Slot while the TyTN has a micro SD. The device will also carry a 2.0 Mega Pixel CMOS camera with Auto-Focus and built-in flash. The released date is expected to be January 2007. GIGABYTE g-smart i200

gsmart_i200Small.jpgGigabyte revealed a new g-smart i series pocket pc phone, the gsmart i-200.The device will be the first one, announced to date, that will carry the new version of Windows Mobile (codename:Crossbow). This of course will happen if the new version of Windows Mobile is released before the i200's launch. The scheduled launch of i200 is Q1,2007. The i200 will be equipped with built-in DVB-H receiver (and maybe a DVB-T). GIGAGYTE g-smart i300

The device will run Windows Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition (Tri-Band) and will have GPS receiver build in (SiRFSTAR III).It will also have bluetooth and wi-fi (802.11g). The QVGA screen is 2.4 inch, and in terms of memory it will have 64MB RAM,256 ROM and a mini SD expansion slot. The g-smart i300 processor will be an Intel XScale PXA272 at 416 MHz. The size of the device is 154 x 57 x 19mm and weighs 119g. It also has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2 megapixel camera,WI-FI, Bluetooth, supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA. Pocket PC SmartPhone: O2 XDA Graphite Minimize
O2_GRAPHITE_SMALL.jpgThe O2 XDA Graphite is a new candy bar smartphone manufactured by ASUSTek and branded by O2. The device lacks buit-in Wi-Fi but supports bluetooth v2.0. In terms of connectivity it is Tri-Band GSM with support for UMTS (3GPP Band I). The O2 XDA Graphite runs Windows Mobile 5.0. Comparing the O2 XDA Graphite with a look alike phone, the HTC S310 you can say that the O2 XDA Graphite will have a faster processor (Intel PXA270 416 MHZ ), more ROM (128MB) and a bigger screen (2.2 inch).
