HTC S710
The HTC S710 is an upcoming smartphone by HTC, to be released in the first half of 2007. The HTC S710 is one of the smartphones announced to run the new windows mobile operating system, Windows Mobile 6.0. The HTC S710 is an innovative Windows Mobile Smartphone because it combines both the traditional numberpad keyboard on the front of the device and a sliding QWERTY keyboard. The HTC S710 will be running Windows Mobile 6.0, which provides genuine mobile Office Outlook® experience, greater control of Outlook® Mobile Calendar, better Internet Explorer® Mobile browsing experience and Windows Live™. It also offers greater interoperability with Exchange Server 2007 providing you with improved e-mail management (such as Fetch Mail and Set Flags), Out-of-Office assistant, and HTML e-mail viewing capabilities.
Orange will first launch the HTC S710 (Orange SPV E650) across most of its European markets in the first half of the year as part of its Signature range. The Orange SPV E650 will feature a customised homescreen with icons that provide one-click access to key business functions such as Internet access, email, calendar and contact information.
The HTC S710 will carry the TI OMAP 850 processor at 200 MHz with 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM. The display will be at 2.4 inch with white LED backlight. In terms of connectivity the device will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE (Quad Band 850-900-1800-1900). The expansion slot of the device is a microSD with a 2.0 mega pixels camera. The dimensions of HTC S710 are 101.5mm x 50mm x 18.6mm. Compared to other HTC Smartphones, for example with the HTC S620, the HTC S710 is 10mm shorter and 6mm thicker (HTC S620: 111.5mm x 62.5mm x 12.8mm). In terms of other features the HTC S710 is the first HTC Smaprthone to have a 2.0 mega pixels camera.
