The HTC P6300 is a newly released Windows Mobile Pocket PC from HTC. The HTC P6300 runs Windows Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition and it is mostly suited for enterprise use. The device is currently available in Europe and it costs aprx 480 GBP.

The HTC P6300 is a relatively large Pocket PC. Its size is 129 x 70 x 18 mm. Compared to other Pocket PCs and Smartphones the HTC P6300 is bigger in all dimensions. For example compared to the Samsung SGH-i600 (Smartphone) the HTC P6300 is a lot taller, wider and thicker. The dimensions of the Samsung SGH-i600 are :113 X 59 X 12 mm. Also the HTC P6300 weights 200g, a weight which is much more than the 105g of the Samsung SGH-i600 for example.
Unlike most pocket pc and smartphones, the buttons on the HTC P6300 are rounded. The answer and end call round buttons are located beneath the display. In between them there is a round five way select / action key and the Windows Mobile keys. Above the display, on the left there is the dedicated button for email and on the right there is a dedicated button for opening Internet Explorer.

Since HTC P6300 primary target is for enterprise usage, the device has a large 3.5 inch 240 x 320 QVGA resolution touch panel. The large screen makes it easier to operate using direct touch on the Pocket PC's screen instead of using the stylus. There is no QWERTY keyboard on the device so all text input is done using the stylus.
The HTC P6300 is equipped with a Samsung Processor running at 400MHz and it comes with 256 MB of ROM and 128 MB of RAM. The expansion slot of the device is MMC/SDIO.
In terms of connectivity the device supports GSM/GPRS (tri-band 900/1800/1900) and has also built in Wi-Fi, support for Bluetooth V2.0 and IrDA.
The HTC P6300 also has a 2 mega pixels camera image sensor with Macro and a preview mirror. Although the primary target of this devie is for business usage it lacks 3G and a built in GPS receiver.
