monikker lets you put a personal face on your phone calls.  It's new, unique, free and fun and you can get it here: http://www.monikker.com

Hard to describe in words, so below are some screen shots, where you are in the role of the person receiving phone calls - this is how your phone 'rings' when these people call you (imagine PeterD and 3x are friends of yours).

The images are animated / multimedia, ie. they move - the pandas climb up and down the bamboo - and they have sound, some stereo. On the phone itself the colors are much sharper and more vibrant than below.

• PeterD's calls to you are announced with the Panda animation & sound. You might have assigned it to him ('Assigned monikker'), or PeterD might have chosen it himself (as his 'World monikker'). This is new - we don't think you will have seen it before.  PeterD doesn't need to have monikker on his phone - he can have any old mobile phone.
  
  
• Likewise 3x's calls to you are announced with the Santa BBQ animation & sound.  Again you might have assigned it to 3x, or 3x might have picked it himself.
  
  
• And here's a cool bit: when you call PeterD or 3x or any of your friends who have monikker, they will see your World monikker, which will be whatever you might have chosen or made.

You can also have special monikkers for particular people. Ie. just for calls to that person.
